Isn't it, physically speaking, that electric flux through a guassiuan surface is determined by the charge enclosed by the surface? So in that sense, they're equal however there is no easy way to determine the charge distribution by just knowing the electric flux.
What I'm looking for is surface charge density distribution on the electrodes. Do you think Elmer can do that?

Re: Surface Charge Densities in Uniform Electric Fields
Perhaps not directly but if you can calculate it form the current output variables it is possible to write a subroutine to do the calculation.
Re: Surface Charge Densities in Uniform Electric Fields
The problem is I don't know enough about the maths used, I hoped Elmer could do it for me
Thanks for the help, to know what's not possible is also helpful.
