You can open paraview and from paraview open the *.vtu created by Elmer.

If Elmer did not create one then you need a post file in your simulation section

Simulation
Post File = case.vtu
End

In ElmerGUI it just tries to start paraview by issuing the command paraview. If paraview is not in your path GUI can't start it.

Would have to start with what operating system you are using, path is a system variable.
