How to extract information from the output file

Post by Jac »

Hello,

I am trying to do linear elasticity simulations. This is working all right and I can view the results visually in ElmerPost. I have a bunch of bodies with boundaries. I would like to know numerically how far the endpoints of the boundaries moved. In the output file I see a very long list of displacements, which I suppose are the displacements of the individual mesh points. How do I know which of these displacements correspond to the endpoints of my boundaries?

Thanks for your help!

Hi

Look at the SaveLine or SaveScalars solvers in Models Manual. Probably they can provide the extrema you're looking for.
