How to apply "pre strain" in stresssolver

Post by Xqwu »

Hi, dear friends
I am new here. I just start to learn elmer. I want to test the pre stress and pre strain in Model manual P.50. But I found that adding
Pre strain = 0.01
in the material section results in the solver
ERROR:: LoadInputFile:
ERROR:: LoadInputFile: Unknown specifier: [0.01]
ERROR:: LoadInputFile: In section: [material 1]
ERROR:: LoadInputFile: For property name:[pre strain]
if I adding
strain = 0.01
the model works, but it seems like there is no influence on the resluts
Can some one tell me why? thank you

Try Pre Strain = Real 0.01. Some variables have to be declared in Elmer
