Attached is a worked out example of MHD flow of a viscous liquid between 2 parallel plates. It is very similar to the example discussed here:

The effect of magnetic field on the flow can be clearly seen by changing the Applied magnetic field 2 (B in y-direction) from 1T to 10T and beyond. The velocity profile changes from nearly parabolic (@ B = 1T) to nearly flat (@ B = 10T), as the pictures below show.
