Hi all,
I'd like to know how the number of DOF is calculated with the "element=p:2"option.
For example, my mesh contains :
1530 nodes
820 boundaries (type 202)
2242 triangles (type 303)
My res file has : displacement : 10606 5303 2 : nonlinear elasticity
I don't understand how number 5303 has been got.

The actual number of degrees of freedom associated with the element edges, faces or interiors depends
on the element type and the local polynomial degree p. Each degree of freedom is naturally associated with
some basis function. The following table gives the number of degrees of freedom for elements used in Elmer:
