Compiling Elmer with MPI
Hi, I'm trying to compile Elmer with MPI. I have already compiled it without MPI and it works fine. I compiled this: http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/ and then I used it to compile the mathlibs. But when I try to compile the fem -package, I have a problem: checking for pdneupd_ in -lp...

Re: How to plot scalars at edge using arc lengths
Mortonki, Thanks for the help. I was trying to use the polyline thing, but it didn't work. It runs and I get the file, but there is nothing in it. Here is my piece of sif: Solver 2 Equation = SaveScalars Procedure = "SaveData" "SaveLine" Polyline Coordinates(4,3) = 0 0 0 0.0001 0...

Re: Save Scalars
Hi, My mistake. I did not look at the output thoroughly enough. I did not realize that I got two rows for each timestep. That was why I ended up with a value that was twice as big. But then my next question is why do I get two values for each time step? Regards Dennis Hi, It might be, that your Sav...

How to plot scalars at edge using arc lengths
Hi,
I want to plot scalars in a file, I don't want to get the coordinates but the arc-lengths on the edge. Is it possible to plot scalars at edges and is it possible to get the arc length?
/Eelis

Re: Steady State as Initial Conditions for Navier Stokes+Heat Eq
Hi, here is a quote from the old list, I hope it helps you: Hi Eelis, Eelis Takala wrote: > Hi, > > is it possible to first calculate a steady state analysis and then calculate a transient analysis by using the steady state as initial value. For example to bend a beam in steady state mode using some...

Hi, and welcome,
did you try ctrl + double clicking? If you did, then what happens, what does it say at ElmerGUIlogger?
