Magnetic Induction Equation

Hi,
I have a question about equation number 23.1 in the Elmermodelsmanual, what does the term v represent?

Re: Applied Lorentz Force

Hi Navier-Stokes equation looks for it in the Body Force section as described in the manual. Usually the physics should not come into to the solver settings. It is more related to physical entities (bodies & boundaries). -Peter Thanks Peter, I followed your suggestions and it works. This is my n...

Thanks, Peter. So, Should I write the Lorentz Force in the section "Body Force 1" or in the solver "Navier-Stocks"?

Re: Applied Lorentz Force

Hi Lorenz force should be applied to some equation that operators on forces. Currently it is readily available only in FlowSolver i.e for Navier-Stokes equation. It includes the contributions of enforced and induced magnetic fields. -Peter For example I have the following case.sif. should I put the...

Applied Lorentz Force

Good evening,
Would it be possible to apply the Lorentz force in the solver "Magnetic induction equation", instead of using an applied magnetic field?

Error Function

Hi,
Does the error function exist in Elmer? Because I don't find it in MATC documentation

Re: PARALLELING COMPUTATION

I had to change three boxes in order to get it to work. On my laptop with W10, here is the full path to mpiexec.exe: C:\Program Files\Microsoft MPI\Bin so the executable box should contain: C:\Program Files\Microsoft MPI\Bin\mpiexec.exe Since opening a command prompt and entering 'mpiexec' worked, ...

Re: PARALLELING COMPUTATION

One way to check that mpiexec.exe is installed in Windows 10, is to open a command prompt and enter 'mpiexec'. If it is installed, then you should see something like this: Microsoft MPI Startup Program [Version 10.1.12498.18] Launches an application on multiple hosts. Rich. Yes, it is installed. So...

Re: PARALLELING COMPUTATION

Hello, In Windows 10, with last nights build of ElmerGUI with mpi, the settings in the attached screen shot worked while running the FlowStepKe tutorial. As a separate note, the tutorial ran to completion in serial, but in parallel it stopped after 7 iterations saying 'Diverged'. Rich. Thanks, do I...
