You have to define the procedure and the file name it is located in
first variable is the file second is the procedure name, you can have multiple procedures in 1 DLL

Re: elmerf90 issue: MVCR80.dll not found?
I tried it on W10 and I did not receive an error, it worked. fine.

Re: 2D FEM - model width and BC effect on results
The model width in 2D is per unit width, i.e it is always 1 unit wide. For example that way in 2D area = Volume. If the model is in meters then the area is m^2 = the volume m^3/m. Since everything in the third dimension is 1 everything is per unit width. In the case of a rotating motor, Periodicity ...

Re: Reference Norm
I think if you do not give a reference norm, no check is made. and no file is created.

Re: Reference Norm
You are supposed to know the reference norm when you set up a test case. Consistency testing of solvers Each solver may be tested for consistency. The way the testing is performed is that it is assumed that the correct solution will have a predefined norm. After the simulation has been carried out t...

Re: wrong displacement values using "ElasticSolver"?
I ran the 0.1x0.01x1.0 in calculix, another open source fea tool. Using non-linear geometry option. It also calculated 0.088 same as ElastcSolver

Re: wrong displacement values using "ElasticSolver"?
"With this definition we say that the Young's modulus is constant, regardless of stress and strains. Is this correct? Are you saying that the ElasticSolver decides by its own that beyond a certain strain the material is no longer linear? Moreover, beyond the yield strength, in typical material...

Re: Closed coil with core simulation
If you run
ElmerGrid 2 2 MESH -autoclean
it will open in ElmerGUI
but it renumbers the BCs
The ElmerSolver should run with the mesh as is.
