Hi!
I'm trying to use SaveMaterials to see material parameters in paraview. It shows the material parameters at nodes. However, the material parameter is (I guess) defined for the element. For nodes that is shared by 2 elements where the 2 elements have different material parameters, it looks like the material parameter is shown from only one of the elements and values from the other element is discarded.
Is it possible to get the material parameter associated to the element in the output data?
/Fredrik

Re: SaveMaterials
Hi Fredrik,
It seems that this solver is not quite up-to-date regarding other than nodal fields. In Elmer a field can be nodal, dg (discontinuous galerkin), elemental (one value per element), ip (defined on integration points).
As a quick remedy I updated the Solver such that if you allocate the fields using "exported variable i" the solver can also use "dg" fields. So setting "Exported Variable 1 = -dg MyParameter" could do the trick then.

Hello!
Yes, the updated solver together with exported variable works. Thanks'
