hi
i'm trying to model a fluxgate sensor in 3d (a nanocrystaline ring core and a coil). linear simulation with circuit solver is so far good, i get inductance value similar to the analytical model. however , the moment i introduce BH characteristic the magnetic field strength (A/m) rise to an absurdly high value (1e+7 with a turns-amps of 5A.turns) and the visualisation in paraview shows that the magnetic flux seems to alternate between the inner part of the core and the outer one.
i'm using the circuit solver with a voltage source in series with a resistor and the fem component (core + coil).
has someone tried bh defined materials with 3d mgdyn ?
solvers used :
- coil solver (closed coil)
- mgdyn
- mgdyn post
- circuit solver
