Hi

I am using the command

Elmergrid 14 2 filename

to translate from filename.msh to the grid format understood by ElmerSolver


However Gmsh has a version 4 as well a legacy version 2 mesh file format. I have no problem using the version 2 in creating the required 4 files

mesh.boundary, elements , header, nodes inside folder filename/

but with version 2 I get

run-time error
allocation failure 2 in imatrix()

Could it be because Elmergrid was written to understand the legacy version 2 only ?

Both should be fine. If you have issues provide the file causing problems. -Peter
