Hello everyone,
I am trying to understand a method to calculate ELectric FIeld with Elmer. To do so I started with a simple geometry wich is a conductor inside a box of air.
I set the conductor's boundary to a potential of 1000V and the rest of the boundaries to 0V.
When I check the results I get that the maximum ELectric Field in the middle of the box right at the conductor is around 3000 V/m, while the same example with COMSOL and FEMM got me a maximum of around 8000 V/m.
Is there anything I am missing in the conductor's boundary or in the solver or something?
I attach my case.sif and my geometry made with gmsh.
Than you
Guillem

I get about 8000 with this 2D model, the Electric infinity BC is spherical according to the manual.
I have not been able to get a similar value with 3D
