Re: Damping problem
I downloaded your sifs and ran them as is without making any changes and there are clearly differences in the damped and undamped cases.

Re: Damping problem
The latest windows builds are here, but I am not sure the installation is the problem. Perhaps you could test it using this post,
"Hi,
For computers with windows 10, it is convenient to use Elmer software in WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux).
Reference:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... tall-win10
Then with Elmer software installed within WSL (installation commands similar to as done in case of Ubuntu)
Yours Sincerely,

or there is an Elmer VM
https://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/physic ... lMachines/
testing one of these could eliminate if it is a version or installation issue.

Re: Damping problem
Okkk...I will try that..But is there any other option which might be a possible source of not considering damping? May I ask you to share the .msh and .sif file which you executed...
Re: Damping problem
Thank youuu so much...
I checked with this sif file ...no change..But one thing I noticed though my mesh.node file is same but boundary and header files are different...have you created the geometry by your own?
