case.vtu file not being produced

Hi all:
It has been a while since I have used Elmer and am having problems with my present installation. I am using the latest pre-compiled version of Elmer with ElmerGUI. I am running on Debian Buster as Host and the Ubuntu, VirtualBox, pre-packaged version of Elmer as Guest. Attached is my Sif file for a loaded 2x4 beam and a copy of my project directory. When I try to load any of the files into ParaView they register in the left panel but don't show on the main panel no matter what I do. Also, the main panel has a nasty habit of going completely transparent and the desktop shows through. I'm not sure that this is the place for this post. So apologies if it is in the wrong place.
