Hi,

I am new to Elmer and just experiencing it during the last days. I am Using Elmer on Windows and almost evrything is fine, but Elmer GUI has problems to save projects.
If I want to save a project including a mesh with around 100.000 Elements, Elmer GUI most times crashes during saving the mesh or requires a pretty long time.
The Elmer GUI Tester says that every path is defined right and the different program parts are working fine.
So I don´t know what is wrong, can anyone help?

Hi,

I also see ElmerGUi crashing from time to time, but so far it didn't crash during a project save. Strange.
If your project directory is on a network drive, this may be the cause of the long saving time. If possible I would keep the simulation data on the local disk and use network drives as backup.

thank you I really was blind, this solved at least the the problem of long time saving.
But depending on the mesh size Elmer GUI still crashes sometimes. I am thinking of trying it in Ubuntu.
