schrodinger equation

Post by gautamr »

hi guys,
i'm trying to find the eigenvalues in the time independant schrodinger equation, i.e. (E-V(x,y,z))psi + laplacian(psi)=0, and i'm trying to calculate the eigenvalues E that satisfy the equation for a given function V, can this be implemented in elmer using either the FEM or BEM solvers for the helmholtz equation? could anyone give me any tips to how i would go about doing this?
any help much appreciated,
cheers
