Hi,
Is there an error in the models manual at eq. (1.1)? There is a source term: rho*h, which means that the h is heat generation/massunit (e.g. W/kg)
however, later on the h is clearly volumetric heating. For example joule heating: 1/sigma * J**2.
please advise,
/Eelis

Re: Models manual (Heat Equation)
Hi Eelis
Nope. There is no error. This is a historic choice and I would also now choose otherwise, but the "Heat Source" is really in terms of W/kg. The frictional and Joule heating and computed internally in terms of W/m^3 and are therefore not multiplied by density.

Re: Models manual (Heat Equation)
ok. Thank you for the clarification.
I would recommend to make this clarification also in the models manual. Also, there could maybe be an optional input term for volumetric heating?
Cheers,
Eelis
