While working through tutorial 7, after learning the basics of FEM 16 years ago, now needing FEM to validate an analytical structural and buckling analysis, at the end of the tutorial wanting to use paraview, I get the error-message:
"start paraview: message: Unable to start paraview "
Who knows the answer to this problem and wants to share it with me?
Second quesion: Where can I find the post-processing-file(s) with all the info, like global stiffness-Matrices and...?
last question: Beside standart structural analysis, I need to perform a buckling analysis of a thin cylindrical shell. Does Elmer Fem behold the functionality to do so?
Thanx in advance!

Hello,
Have you read through GetStartedElmer.pdf located at:
https://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/physics/elmer/doc/
If you search in the doc for the phrase

it will lead you to the instructions on installing Paraview. Then look for the section on setting the path to Paraview.‘Unable to start Paraview’.

Yes Elmer can do buckling of thin cylindrical shells
