Modell Definition.

Post by Josi »

Hello.
I have a question in a case where I try to solve. It is porous flow. I have read and I understand how it must defined. Unfortunately I Use gmsh for grid generation. In your case with PorousPipe. I have not see the materials separation wall between the 2 Materials. How you did this? Or Man Can boundarys To set the flow put through forward? Define the model as a continuous?
Thanks for reply.

Hi

The porous resistance is not really a complete porosity model. As you suspect it assumes field variables as continuous i.e. the velocity is the average velocity and not the velocity in the pores. Neither is there anything like porosity ratio. So as the field variables are continuous there is no BC needed either, just the porous drag in the domain.
