Get Electrical Field graph in electrostatic simulation

Post by siti.nurhasanah »

Hi,
I'm very new user in elmer multiphysics. I'm doing of electrostatic simulation and successfully get the electrical potential graph. I want to ask two question, first if i want to get the electrical field graph, what should i do in post processing? and the second one, if i want to get the magnitude of electrical field or electrical potential based on coordinate, can elmer export this for advance analyze in Phyton or Matlab?

Hi,

it's not clear to me what exactly you want, which format you need, etc.
I would advise to write vtk output and use ParaView as postprocessor, it has a powerful viewing and analysis functionality (including user programmable python filters) and can export data in csv and many other formats.

HTH,

Matthias
