Hi,

I tried using isosurfaces but it didn't work.

When setting up the simulation such as the heat equation it shows only body 1 although I have defined the surface, and the volume as physicial entities in gmsh.

please help me

Hi,

just tried on an old 3D ep file - it works for me.
Try changing the number of isosurfaces (hit ENTER, the click "Apply" after changing it) and the Min/Max ranges (check "Keep"). Set "Surface Style" to "Both".
You might post a downsized ep file here so someone can have a look at it.
If you find all that too tedious you should really try ParaView.

Hi,

your case.ep is 370 kB when you zip it, see attachment.
You can view the internal temperature distribution with the following steps:
* Color Mesh -> Mesh Style: Surface, Color Variable: Temperature (This shows the outer cone)
* Edit -> Object Clip planes: set what you need for your cut
* Isosurfaces: Number of Isosurfaces: 10 (hit ENTER), Surface Style: Both, Contour Variable: Temperature, Color Variable: Temperature. Click Apply. Then the internal temperature should be visible.

For use with ParaView, activate the ResultOutput Solver with binary vtu.
