Dear Elmer group
I have created and meshed a simple cube by ANSYS then I used Elmer_au to generate the input mesh for ElmerGrid, but the error that is shown in the picture below appeared. After executing the command “ElmerGird 4 2 exportmesh”, the file mesh.Boundary was an empty file and other files were damaged!
I worked with Elmer_ch and Elmer_au in 2D and didn’t have any problem.
Do you have any idea about the problem in 3D?
Best wishes,
KimSongOik

Re: 3D mesh by ANSYS
Hi KimSongOik
The Ansys scripts for mesh export are my doings originally. Unfortunately I have not been active
with Elmer for some time now so I don't remember too well what happens there. Anyway, the error
message you get implies problem only (if we are lucky) in the write command.
You could try to change the line(s) in the elmer_au and elmer_ch scripts
(F8,F8,F8)
to
(F8.0,F8.0,F8.0)
You can also check from Ansys APDL commad reference found in web what should be the
correct format if this does not help.
