Hi,
how can i see the results of the elmer simulation (linear static analysis) with paraview?
do i have to open the case.ep file? but how?

i'm under windows xp

Hi,

use the ResultOutput solver with

Output Format = Vtu
Binary Output = True

and open the resulting file(s) with ParaView.

Do i have to set these option before starting the simulation? in Elmer GUI?

Yes.
The .ep file can only be read by ElmerPost AFAIK.

I can't find the resultoutput solver.

DO i have to manually edit the sif file?

Hi,

copy resultoutput.xml from bin/edf-extra to bin/edf in you Elmer program directory and restart ElmerGUI.

mmm. i don't have resultoutput.xml in edf-extra

ok found...i've it already in edf folder....where is the command in elmergui?
