ElmerPost manuals

Post by AlexR »

Hello,

Do you know a manual which explains commands to use ElmerPost (choose parameters to see, change scale, edit title...) ?

Yours.

Hi

There is no ElmerPost manual. You could see this though:
http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/physics ... 4April.pdf

It shows how to do the same things with ElmerPost and Paraview. Generally I recommend using Paraview.

Hi,

AFAIR there is some documentation in ElmerPost's help menu.
But I also recommend ParaView... ;)

Hi AlexR,
If you are using Linux OS, it can be easier for you to build or compile Elmer.
It is easy to work with ElmernonGUI.
Also, you could have flexibility in using from a variety of preprocessing and postprocessing softwares.
Linux provides a good platform for compiling softwares.

In my context, I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
For Finite Element Method, I am using Salome 5.1.3 (preprocessor), Elmer Solver and Paraview (Postprocessor).
