Timestep control frame rate

Hi,

I've been looking at time-evolving solutions for ice flow using elmer, and viewing the output in ElmerPost using the Timestep Control function to loop through all the timesteps.

The frame rate for these loops is extremely fast, making it very hard to distinguish one timestep from another. Is there an easy way for me to slow the animation down?

Thanks for your help,

Sue

Hi,

try to "Set Timestep" to 0.1 or so in the "Edit -> Timestep Control" box.

Matthias

First, thank you to all for the wonderful tool and the supportive community.

Second, a question/comment.

My question is the same as the original poster, how can I slow down the frame rate in ElmerPost?

My comment is that the "Edit -> Timestep Control" box appears to display the step index of whatever step is being shown in the ElmerPost display, and doesn't seem to affect the apparent playback rate. Is this typical behavior, or am I missing something.

Thanks again
Bob

Hi,

you can use a value smaller than 1 in the "Inc" field.
