is it possible to plot temperature and stress distribution in elmer post? if it is so how?

If by plot you mean 1D profiles then the answer is no. You can make plots using SaveLine solver and any line plotter, or use VTK (preferably VTU) output and Paraview or ViSit that have line plotting options built in. -Peter
