Hello !!!!!
Can you help me understand Heat Source and Volumetric Heat Source applied to an example?
Lets say the model has 4 bodies
(body 1 = 1 kg, body 2 = 2 kg, body 3 = 3 kg, body 4 = 4 kg: to make this example simple and treat the interest well)
I apply to all body
Heat Source = 10 (W/kg) for 1 second. (1)
I apply in another test to all body
Volumetric Heat Source = 10 (W/m³) for 1 second. (2)
The ParaView of temperature may look like these side-by-side: https://imgur.com/a/DHbiB2s
So what have I done in 1 and 2?
My guess is that in (1), I have applied 10 J times the weight in kg of body X to body X.
in (2), I have applied 10 J times the volume in m³ of body X to body X.
Thanks!!

Hi
"Heat Source" is heating per unit mass while "Volumetric Heat Source" is heating per unit volume. The 1st one was implemented historically and the 2nd one was added as people often like to give the heat source per volume.
