3D magnetic simulation

Post by yuto » 19 Dec 2018, 20:47

I just got Elmer with a very certain purpose of simulating magnetic shields.
At first, I'm trying to simulate a bar magnet in a vacuum (such as attached picture), but it's not great.

Please show me a example sif file using "MagnetoDynamicsCalcFields".

As a guide for the purpose of reference, I'll attach my bad sif file.

Hi,

if I search the Elmer tests for the keyword "MagnetoDynamicsCalcFields" in *.sif files, I get 40 hits. I suggest that you do that search in your tests directory and examine the findings...

Do you consider 40 hits a lot, Matthias?

The installation process is not so easy. I have tried it on Windows 10 but I can't do it. Please help me.

Hi,

get the latest binary for Windows here: http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/physics ... n/windows/ and start it. That's all.

HTH,
Matthias
