Help me please
Help me please
I am looking topic for my thesis titulacion on using free software , I would like to know if ELMER software can modeling structures like buildings with static and dynamic loads (eg earthquakes ) and get results like reactions, forces , displacements of all elements of the model ?. I could contact someone who finds work done with software ELMER applied to structural civil engineering. Thank you very much. Excuse my terrible writing in English

Hi Cramirez,
For linear elasticity, ElmerSolver has solvers for dynamic loads.
In context of structural analysis, you can also learn about the following software - OpenSees:

Some notes on installation in linux/ubuntu
