Nanoparticles in a plasma

Post by lpromes »

Hello Elmer community !

I'm new in Elmer and new in simulation.
I have to calculate the trajectory of nanoparticles through a plasma of Argon.
The particles are under the influence of the gravity, drag forces, electrical forces and thermophoresis.

I managed to simulate the argon flux through the reactor with the Navier-Stokes equation, and I would like to know if it is possible to insert the nanoparticles and how can I do that.

Thanks in advance,

Laura,
you might consider to have a look at the ElmerModelsManual and check out the ParticleDynamics Solver - it has drag, particle-particle collisions and certain type of damping included.
