Electrostatics

Post by guillem_arque »

Hello everyone,
I wanted to study the electric field created by a conductor with current inside.
In the Body Force there is Charge Density and I don't really know what it means, is it like Current Density (A/m^2) or is it related with the voltage?
Then in BC there is Electric flux, and I have the same doubt as in the Body Force section.
If anyone knows about it, it would be really helpful.
Thank you all!

Hi

StatElecSolve is for insulators where the r.h.s. is charge density (SI unit C/m^3). StatCurrentSolve is for conductors where the r.h.s. is current density (SI unit A/m^2).

Hi Peter,
But with StatCurrentSolve I am not able to calculate the Electric Field.
And in the units for Potential is simply V, right?
Thank you

potential is V for eletric solver.
