Magnetodynamic 3d convergence issue
Magnetodynamic 3d convergence issue
I am trying to simulate the magnetic field generated by a current carrying coil. I got two meshes, one of them is the mesh of torus test case of the mgdyn module, the other one is a mesh generated by me using netgen. When I set exactly the same conditions, the mesh of torus test case converges whereas the mesh I generated with netgen diverges. I am confused because the mesh I generated is much finer compared to torus test case. Can anybody explain me which difference might be causing convergence on one mesh and divergence on the other, even though the diverging one is much finer? Thanks! I am adding mesh files for both meshes

Re: Magnetodynamic 3d convergence issue
Adding mesh node for previous mesh since i could only attach 3 files on first post

Re: Magnetodynamic 3d convergence issue
I had to post a coarser mesh because the one i used was too big to be attached here but this one is also about as fine as torus test mesh and still does not converge

Re: Magnetodynamic 3d convergence issue
Upload your full case including *.sif file.
Re: Magnetodynamic 3d convergence issue
Ok, these are the files for torus test case
