thin plate boundary conditions

Post by Bonierad »

Hi,
I have read the text about SmitcSolver. Then I read the tutorial 5: Smitc solver - Eigenmodes of an elastic plate. In that example deflection was set to 0 to simulate "fixed" bondary condition. What should I do in order to take into account the typical conditions for thin plates: simply supported, free etc. ? is „Deflection” parameter enough?
I want to get the natural frequencies of the rectangular plate clamped on one edge and free on the other three.
Thanks,
Paul

Actually, I found that Deflection2 and Deflection3 is a derivative in x and y direction. But for simply supported boundary I need the second derivative to be 0. Can I implement this in SmitcSolver?
