Hi,
I came across a simulation built in simscale using calculix to compute a thermal analysis on a PCB:

Convective heat loss is computed in this model without computing Navier-Stokes. Instead one has to specify on which boundaries the convection occurs.
Is it in Elmer possible to compute convective heat loss without computing NS in the surrounding medium?

Computing convective heat loss without air
Re: Computing convective heat loss without air
If you know heat transfer coefficient [W/(m2*K)] then your problem reduces to simple heat conduction. This is easy-peasy for Elmer.
