Gmsh to Elmer 3D mesh boundary index at mesh edges

Hello

I have defined each 2d mesh triangle as different surface and then extruded it .
However at each edge between mesh elements ELMERGUI shows an edge as Boundary Index (which is not the case in general 3d meshes).
Now i am getting segmentation fault while running it , so is it because of this mesh?
