truss beam model: 1D beam element

Post by Kankreu » 12 Mar 2013, 09:57

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to use 1d beam element (traction/compression) in Elmer.
I would like to build the attached model (2D) for static and dynamic computation.
I don't need GUI or meshing, the model is small and I can build the mesh file from text editor.

Thanks,
K.

PS: from the answer of Peter, they are none but it was in 2011... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1676

Hi everybody,

long time is passed since this thread was open but no one reply.

Is it possible to represent mono dimensional element (like a truss)?

Sorry, no development here. It is a small issue to add such PDE but there hasn't just been any application for that. -Peter
