Hi guys,
After two years of absence I'm finally back with elmer & enjoying it
Trying to solve a Navier-Stokes problem with a ~450,000 element model, umfpack ran into the memory limit of my PC (4GB). Thanks to the forum search I made the model converge anyway using an iterative method (BGStabL with ILU1).
However, I wonder if it would be possible to use umfpack and swap part of the calculation to the HD to provide more memory. I have a very fast all-flash HD, so performance degradation, which is usually a problem when swapping RAM work to the HD, is not a problem on my machine.
Is there a SOLVER command or else to make umfpack use e.g. the Windows Swap file or a to-be-defined swap file on the HD?
Thanks a lot, folks,
Steffen
