Dear Elmer group
Hello
Is it possible to solve axisymmetric problems by nonlinear elasticity solver of Elmer?
Best wishes,

Hi, looking at the code I would say yes. -Peter

Re: axisymmetric nonlinear elasticity solver
Thanks. I had a look too. The “axisymmetric” keyword exists in several parts of the code, however I couldn’t find the associated matrix developments (e.g. the elastic coefficients matrix) for axisymmetric case.
In fact I’m trying Nonlinear Elastic Solver. It works fine for Cartesian problems but in axisymmetric case it gives results exactly equal to that of linear elasticity, both for small and large deflections. Should I report it as a bug?
I’m using SVN4757.
Best wishes,
KimSongOik
