ElmerGUI installation tester

Hi,
Installing Elmer and ElmerGUI on Unix and Linux platforms involves setting up environment variables and compiling executables from source (see Wiki for more details). Small errors may sometimes result in a partially non-functional setup, and problems may be relatively difficult to trace.
In order to facilitate the installation, there is now a small utility called "ElmerGUI installation tester". It can be found from the svn tree in trunk/ElmerGUItester (README file provides compilation instructions). The utility verifies the values of relevant environment variables and checks the existence of necessary executables. Variable and executable names are listed on the left, expected values are listed out on the right, and potential problems are highlighted in red.
