'Run solver' problem

Postby xyzan » 06 Jul 2017, 18:05

HI everyone,

I am new to Elmer, and trying Elmer's tutorial example to get familiar with it.

http://www.elmerfem.org/elmerwiki/index ... h_ElmerGUI

When I try to run the solver ('Run solver' in the ElmerGUI), below message appear in the Solver log.

dyld: Symbol not found: _lsame_
Referenced from: /Applications/ElmerGUI.app/Contents/MacOS/../lib/libelmersolver.dylib
Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/vecLib.framework/Versions/A/libLAPACK.dylib

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thanks!

Hi,

I can not help you with installation issues, but the people who can will certainly need the following information:

* OS
* Elmer version
* binary distribution or own compilation from source

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for your attention.

I am using :-
* OS = MacOS 10.12.1
* Elmer version = Elmer 5.5 (downloaded from trueflaw.com, http://www.trueflaw.com/pub/elmer/page3/page3.html)
* binary distribution = ElmerGUI 5.5 (rev. 3054) Intel binaries

Hopefully the issue can be solved.

Thanks!

Hi,

I don't use a Macintosh, but I can say that your Elmer version being very old (we are at version 8 at the moment), you should try to find a more recent version for MacOS before digging further into your problem. You might do a search for MacOS related info in this forum.
