I'm a new user of elmer. After installation, I get elmerfront, elmerpost, and elemerGUI. I cannot find the elmergrid to draw figures. Does anyone tell me have to get and install elmergrid?
Thank you!

Re: Elmergrid installation
Hi Haibo
ElmerGrid is a command-line tool. You probably got the installation right but you just need to run it from your command prompt. The functionality of ElmerGrid is for the most parts build in also in the ElmerGUI plug-in.
Elmer suite does not include any geometry creation tools. Simple geometries you may define by hand in some formats (.grd and .in2d, for example) but complicated geometries you need some graphical tools. Concerning mesh generators with geometry definition features Gmsh is open source and has some academic flavour, GiD is inexpensive with more industrial look and feel. For 3D geometries you might test SALOME for CAD and use the netgen plug-in for meshing. Different combinations are many.
