Elmer Wiki math

Post by hazelsct »

Hi, the Elmer wiki has a button for including math, but it doesn't work. Can you please add math formulae to your Wikimedia installation? I just entered a bunch of stuff into the new Electrochemistry page, and was surprised when I hit "Preview" to find none of it showed up as expected...

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam

Unfortunately this webhotel hosting this server does not seem to have tex installed. So we don't easily have a quick fix for this one. Sorry about that.

Hi Peter,

I see. Hmm... Maybe I'll run hevea or LaTeX2HTML and insert the resulting images. I'll leave it as-is for now.

Thanks,

For just a few formulas the following might work nicely:

Elmer Wiki file extensions

Post by hazelsct »

Hi again, can you add the .geo (or .txt) extension to the permitted uploads in the wiki? I'd like to upload a Gmsh geometry file, which is a convenient and compact way to define a mesh.

Thanks,
Adam
