I still have a problem with the whitney harmonic solver.
Elmer do not converge after adapting the solenoid sif file from nick.
The frequency and current are just any values to test.

Magnetic field with eddy currents 2d/3d
Hello, I want to simulate eddy currents in the frequency domain. I have a current driven coil and want to induct eddy currents in an aluminum bar. Dependent of the bar (with defects or without) I want the frequency dependent magnetic field at a point in the middle of the coil. Or to be specific I wa...

Re: Eddy current in wire
Thank you I will give model 17 a try. No the problem is not relevant for my work but it seamed easy as a starting point. What I really want is eddy current driven magnetic field. First in 2D later in 3D. For 3D I found the Whitney solvers. But at the moment I try in 2D. Edit: Model 17 is not what I ...

Re: 3-D radial field of ring magnet
@NickR7,
Thank you so much.
Do you have any problem if I use your sif file as a starting point for my bachelor thesis?

Re: Eddy current in wire
The model is in 3d.
The solution with femm is in 2d with a depth.
I also tried this one:

but i had no luck.

Eddy current in wire
Hello, I want to simulate eddy currents in a copper wire. I think i have to use the WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver but do not know how. I tried something but do not get the expected result. What I expect is something like this: b_real.png current.png My example is given here: eddy.zip I hope someone can he...
