Re: ElmerGUI compilation
Hi, i cannot say how you can solve it. have you tried with the option of replacing the ElmerGUI of your installation version with the ElmerGUI of a newer or older Elmer version and again compile it? this is not an innovative idea however. you need to use this if no any other option works. since ther...

Re: fluid flow in porous media
dear MonaWie, Elmer can be a suitable tool for the modelling of heat transfer and porous flow. its beauty is in the conversion of nonlinear terms in the PDEs into the linear terms before solving them. i appreciate the way things are defined in ELmer in the solver input file (SIF). you can study the ...

interface velocity in advection-diffusion solver
In coupling the level-set solver with the advection-diffusion solver, i would like to define the level-set flux as the interface velocity; the latter being defined as the f(diffusion term) in the advection-diffusion solver. what changes should i make to the advdiff.f90 solver. For example, interface...

Re: Simulation of a hydrodynamic focussing in Elmer
The name of the tutorial is "Electroosmotic flow and advected species". The Tutorial 17 of Elmer-nonGUI Tutorials, September 13,2013. It might have other chapter numbers for previous releases of the Elmer Tutorials. It is a tutorial related to microfluidics.

Re: Units and Dimensions of Salome Geometry
Hi Franz, Thank you for your reply and valuable remarks.i have already updated the above post (Method 2-b). In the condition that we draw the geometry in Salome and export it into the Elmer (or another software), it is quite practical to say that Salome doesn't use "units " since Salome do...

Where do we assign the coefficient of surface tension in the SIF in this context?

Re: using surface tension as volume force along the interface
or do we need a separate User Defined Subroutine (Solver ) for surface tension.
