Magnetic Field Problems in 3D
"raback" quoted the following in a related post: >> For harmonic problems in 3D there is a new line of development based on edge elements, see tests/mgdyn_harmonic/MGDynamicsHarmonic.sif ..where do I find the folder "tests/mgdyn_harmonic/" ? I cant find it in a current windows or...

Re: Magnetostatics Solver xml file - GUI plugin
For Harmonic Solutions: I performed some experiments and was *not* able to add a "nice and easy" way to turn on harmonic simulation through the GUI. 1. Entered a "Variable DOFs" and " Angular Frequency" widget into the xml solver section. http://www.stamm.sh/forum/elmer...

Hello Peter Thanks for the answers and hint about the new development. I will look into this tomorrow! Regarding "harmonic flag" and "angular velocity"... I still dont understand where to set this flag in ElmerGUI. Should I make a new parameter in the "magnetostatics.xml&quo...

Magnetostatics Solver xml file - GUI plugin
Hello All I "coded" an xml file to put into the /ElmerGUI/edf (linux) or /Emer6.0/bin/edf (windows) folder. http://www.stamm.sh/forum/elmer/magnetostatics.xml It allows use of the magnetostatic solver within ElmerGUI. I used it to go through the "Inductive Heating of a Crucible" ...

Re: problem NS equation in cylindrical coordinates
I have the same problem right now, cannot find the definitions of cartesian (this one is obvious though) axi-symmetric cylindric-symmetric in the documentation. The question arises from the "Iduction Heating of a crucible" tutorial. How does the solver know about which edge to "rotate...

Re: Application fields of Elmer
I am trying to model a reluctance motor... so heavy use of magnetostatics is predicted!

Re: Absolute Magnetic Flux
this looks quite interesting!
Is there a way to incorporate the modified source wihout recompiling? Im a new linux user...
Ive tried to compile from source, but it did not go very far.
best regards
