Re: Problems with GridDataReader
Hi, I know, that comes ridiculously delayed, but we have had fixed that for Jaime already during the Elmer/Ice advanced workshop. Nevertheless, for the records (should someone else be interrupted by a similar issue): That error is likely to occur when forgetting to link the correct libraries and/or ...

Re: Outflow natural boundary when v.n is outward
Denis, it is odd that you do not get any error message. What I could think of is, that you perhaps dash into an issue if you evaluate this condition before the variables you need (Velocity and Normal Vector) have been assigned with a value, hence leaving the Temp Cond with Zero. A Initialize Dirichl...

Re: Nanoparticles in a plasma
Laura,
you might consider to have a look at the ElmerModelsManual and check out the ParticleDynamics Solver - it has drag, particle-particle collisions and certain type of damping included.
Regards,
Thomas

Re: Small basal velocity value patch from Adjoin inverse method
Hi, I am not that sure if there's something wrong. As we discussed today and from your latest picture you can deduce that you are comparing the measured velocities at the surface with the computed at the bedrock. The match at the surface (not shown here) was visually quite OK and also your L-curve w...

Re: Restarting Advection Reaction Solver for Age Equation
Dear Reinhard, there seems to be an issue with rereading a DG solution into a parallel setup - I presume your wiggles of the reread age profile coincide with domain boundaries, right? - but the DG stuff anyhow comes with a big warning attached to it. As I understand it, your idea of using Olivier's ...

Re: Problem with calling DiffuseConvectiveBoundary subroutine
Hi Yongmei,
what particular routine is it that crashes? If it is one self-made by you, can you can send me the code and I try to fix it. Or you can look up the correction in the TemperateIceSolver.f90.

Re: Switching transient and steady or having an initial phase
Hello,
I think we are way past revision 6035 (check out http://sourceforge.net/p/elmerfem/code/HEAD/tree/) - actually Peter's commit was r6158. Perhaps something wrong with your subversion settings?
Best Regards,
Thomas

Re: Edges values
Hi, perhaps this might not help (as not the source of your issues), but the on boundary added body ID's in 3D meshes in connection with internal extrusion got broken in one of the more recent revisions. That has been fixed yesterday. If you have a more recent, but not latest Elmer revision, update a...

Re: New forum for Elmer/Ice
Hi, I invested half an hour to study possibility of php-coding. As far as I understand, I can only change the notification mode from "new posts" to "new topic only" simultaneously for the whole forum (so affect all other Elmer users) and that only with a quite high risk of screwi...

Re: New forum for Elmer/Ice
Hi, in Vienna we basically agreed that we have this forum for technical questions and the mailing-list for more general announcements. For me - despite that I do not think that it will work that easily - it doesn't make sense to post new threads on the elmerice@elmerfem.org-list, when everyone inter...
