Hi,
Thanks for the link Matthias, I'm not sure to understand everything. I've test this same case study (same mesh) with GetDP solver (direct solver) and get positive temperature (0.016 min).
There must be an explanation why Elmer and GetDP do not give the same result.
Best regards.

Re: Simple thermal case
Hello Thank Peter, you right. It's works fine with direct or iterative ILU1 fluxsolver computation. I've an other basic thermal test case of 4 contrete walls (coductivity = 2), two of which are insulated (conductivity = 0.04). I presribe the following boundary conditions (see temp.jpg attached file)...

Simple thermal case
Hi, I've a very simple thermal case study composed of two layers (two materials) with 2 prescribe temperatures (0°C bottom and 20°C top and adiabatic left and right). With the direct solver, i get the message "ERROR:: IterSolve: Failed convergence tolerances", it converges when I use an it...

Re: Elmer 32 bits
Hi,
My question was about windows OS and elmer 32 bits. Is there third-parties restriction for the compilation ?

Elmer 32 bits
Hello,
I'll ask a basic question, why elmer is no more 32 bits library ?
Best regards.

VTK postprocessor
Hello,
I use to write the sif file and lauch the computatation by hand. I'd like to plot the result of the ep file in the vtk post gui. Is there a way to use directly the ElmerGUI postprocessor (VTK) without executing ElmerGUI ? Does anyone have compiled it separetely ?
Best regards.

Heat Transfer Coefficient
Hi, I simulate a classic heat transfer problem with 3 bcs : 1 adiabatic and 2 with a heat flux (External temperature and Heat Transfer Coefficient). The sif (generated by ElmerGUI) file seems to be correct but Elmer seems to simulate the problem with 2 Dirichlet bc instead of the heat flux bc. When ...

Element Field vs Nodal Field
Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to compute/store a field as an element-based field ? I want to save the heat capacity of each element, to do so, i use savedata/savematerial and ResultOutput solvers and export it into a gmsh file. This later contains a NodeData block related to the heat capacity, ...

Hi everybody, I want to write a small GUI application for lauching several Elmer simulations (a list of sif file) in batch mode. Is there a way to launch Elmer and catch in real time the log stdout/stderr for having the iteration number, relative error... ? I've explored the src of ElmerGui, this op...

Re: FluxSolver
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your answer. Is there a new binary version of Elmer or of the heatflux solver dll which correct this bug ? Must I compile myself ?
Best regards.
