Re: Multiple Problems, some independent

Hello, You got it, i want to do multiscaling. i was just not sure if this is popluar notation allready. So the first aspect that you mentioned is applicaple if i have two meshes of the same object, is that right? For the second point. The work on the macro scale equations, and how to get them approx...

Re: Multiple Problems, some independent

The second question is related to my original post. I need to to calculations on seperate meshes where the results from some calculations are used to get the equations for the other meshes.

Re: Multiple Problems, some independent

Hello again. I now found the test case multimesh. Which i believe is kind of doing what i want. Now i have some additionatl questions though. 1) this one's a stupid one but i didnt find the answer: How do i start the solver without the GUI? 2) Is there a possibility to use several meshes, starting f...

Multiple Problems, some independent

Hello, I have a priniple question about solving multiple problems. So what i want to do is to solve an equation, let's say heat equation, in some 3D body. But the coefficient of the equation (heat conductivity) is calculated out of the solution of another problem that i have to solve for every quadr...

Re: Implicite Coupling of equations

Wow, thank you very much for the quick and accurate answer! Thats exactly what i wanted to know! I think i am really falling for Elmer. And i will ask a lot more questions soon. ;) One right away: I read somewhere that Elmer is only using Picard iterations to solve nonlinearitis. But if i got that r...

Implicite Coupling of equations

Hello dear Elmer team, my name is Franz Pichler and i am very interested in your software. I tried some of the tutorial examples allready and these look very convincing. What i am interested in , in particular is the "implicit coupling" of equations. What i got out of one forum thread here...
