adding youngs modulus as a function of stress
Hi all, My specific problem is that I wish to have young's modulus (Y) value as a function of stress. I wish it to go to zero when the stress gets to the breaking stress of the material. Could some one show me an MATC formula for this. Assume isotropic conditions. My more general problem is that I c...

Re: Adding OCC, Trilinos or mumps Elmer wont build
Trying a new build with up to date Trilinos and am getting Elmer build errors: Checking whether /usr/bin/f95 supports OpenMP 4.0 -- no CMake Warning at /usr/local/lib/cmake/Trilinos/TrilinosConfig.cmake:158 (MESSAGE): Component "Pike" NOT found. Call Stack (most recent call first): CMakeLi...

Re: Adding OCC, Trilinos or mumps Elmer wont build
This post has been laying here for almost a month. 108 people have looked at it. Not one person has commented. Do I have insufficient information included? What would I have to add to get an answer?

Time Step confusion (SOLVED)
This would seem to be a very simple thing but is causing me mass confusion. I can't seem to get the whole time step thing straight in my mind. Referring to the graphic below please explain to me the meaning of "Time Step Interval" and "Time Step Size" in ElmerGUI and "Time&q...

Adding OCC, Trilinos or mumps Elmer wont build
I am using CMakeGUI on a Kubuntu17.10 system. Kubuntu is a guest on qemu VE and Debian is host. I managed to get a clean build of Trilinos with ML turned on. When I tried to build Elmer, I ran into trouble. CMake works in all cases but the errors happen while running Make. I can get a clean Elmer bu...

Re: internal compiler error (SOLVED)
Thanks for the reply, It turns out that running make more than once cleared the problem. I think that the ram of my virtual environment overloaded.

internal compiler error (SOLVED)
For reasons left unsaid, I needed to recompile Elmer with Trilinos. I use Cmake-GUI. My setup is a Debian host and Ubuntu guest on qemu/kvm virtual machine. Elmer was compiled with Contrib, ElmerGUI, Mumps, OpenMP and Trilinos. The Configure and Generate went well. When I ran make, I got the followi...

Which Trilinos packages are most useful
Hi all;
I am debating which Trilinos packages should be activated ( if any) for use with Elmer. Does this depend on what type of problem is being processed or is there a core set of packages that would be generally recommended for use with Elmer?
